FFC project keeps going!


Rete Autostrade Mediterranee was very pleased to present the Fresh Food Corridors Project at the Connecting Europe Conference in Tallin; the event was held at the Nordea Concert Hall on 21-22 September 2017.

The project received a warm feedback from European experts. The project mission to develop a fast and reliable alternative for transportation of perishable good obtained the favors of the visitors who asked for more information, especially regarding the “Cargo Back” issue that can be considered the main challenge related to the sustainability of the project. New and innovative technology for the reefer containers, greener energy sources were a few of the great topic discussed during the two-days event. Ms. Violeta Bulc European Commissioner Transport, kindly visited the FFC stand encouraging on going further on the Action development. She was particularly keen on reviewing the technology used to supply the reefer containers.  Meanwhile, the activities of the project carry on: the FFC Steering Committee was held in Rome on Tuesday the 26th of September. The partners were reunited at RAM premises and they discussed, among others, about the administrative requirements of the project and the progress of the second season activities. Moreover, the FFC future planned events have been discussed by the project partnership that will bring FFC at Intermodal Europe Fair (Amsterdam 28-30 November 2017) and in Berlin in occasion of next edition of Fruit Logistica 2018 on February.
